Got tons of reports from U Street, Columbia Heights and Petworth starting around 2:30am:
“Any reports on what the police helicopter was searching for at 2:30am-3:15(maybe later) this morning? They were doing fairly tight circles around 2101 New Hampshire Avenue and adjacent buildings, shining spotlight with about 10 cruisers circling the areas.”
“what’s up with helicopter circling Meridian Hill Park for past 20 minutes as 2:30 a.m.? Woke me up from deep sleep. I see search lights. This amount of hovering usually involves gunshots…”
“Sorry to say… though props to the cops for trying… helicopter with spotlight doing tight loops near 16th/15th & Columbia Heights from ~2:40 to 2:55am”
“Even if I weren’t dealing with quarantine messing with my sleep schedule, the circling helicopter outside my window at 2:44 am would be keeping me up.”
