Ed. Note: I haven’t seen any reports from MPD so apparently nobody was hit. I did however see this disturbing report a bit earlier from MPD near the Petworth metro:
“On April 28, 2020 at approximately 10:25pm in the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW, a suspect approached the victim and demanded money before assaulting the victim with a rock. The suspect then fled on foot on 8th St NW without obtaining property. The victim sustained injuries to the mouth and was treated at a local hospital. The suspect is described as black male, 16-19 years old, 5’7-5’10, wearing dark clothes and a hoodie. Anyone with information regarding this offense is encouraged to contact MPD at (202) 727-9099.”
