“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 2100 block of 4th Street NW. Units responding to the area located shell casings, and an adult male walked into an area hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the lower extremities.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.

A reader reported:
“Around 3p Sunday, heard at least 10 gunshots near 4th and W Street NW. Came out to see abandoned bike in the roadway. Lots of cops showed up, including police helicopter. MPD started taping off blocks along 4th.”
