14th and V Street, NW
Thanks to all who messaged us: “There was a shooting again last night around 1 a.m. at the southwest corner of 14th and V, across from Busboys and Poets. This is the same spot where a double shooting occurred only two weeks earlier. As of this morning, there is still dried blood on the sidewalk.”
“exact same corner as a few weeks ago, 10ish gunshots.”
“About 10 (!) gunshots. And 20 police cars converging on 14th and V NW where the last shooting was a few weeks ago.”
From MPD:
“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the area of 14th and V Streets NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Units on scene have a person of interest detained and a weapon recovered.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we continue to investigate.
