Your Afternoon Animal Fix – AdoPtville

If you have any animal/pet photos you’d like to share for the regular fix please send an email to princeofpetworth(at)gmail(dot)com with ‘Animal Fix’ in the title and say the name of your pet and your neighborhood. AdoPtville is run by two volunteers who compile these pets weekly from local shelters.

In light of the heated discussion the other day regarding community cats and those who care for them, please check out the Humane Rescue Alliance’s resources on community cats to learn about what can be done for them and the neighborhoods in which they live. In particular, please consider supporting their CatNiPP program, which works to reduce the population of homeless cats in DC through spaying and neutering.

This week’s Adoptables come from the Humane Rescue Alliance and feature a cat that has been helped through the CatNiPP program.

Hi – I’m Punchie! I’m a happy go lucky kind of guy. I really like chin, cheek and head scratches and have excellent litter box manners. And I enjoy my mealtimes too! I’m a sweet 6 year old cat, looking for a loving home to call my own!

For more more info or to meet me contact [email protected]. As an added bonus, if you’re over 50, my adoption fee is waived as part of the Boomer’s Buddies program! Standard adoption procedures apply. Learn more here.

Baby Yoda is neither a baby nor a Yoda, but he sure is a sweet old man (12 years old!)! Baby Yoda (Boda for short) is a good boy and has made many gains in his foster home. When he arrived as a stray to the shelter he was in terrible shape but with lots of love and medical care he is rebounding and is now ready for adoption. Boda loves his meals and is always eager for a treat. He does well with super mellow dogs and cats.

If you would like more information about this cutie please contact his foster mom at [email protected]. As an added bonus, if you’re over 50, the adoption fee is waived as part of the Boomer’s Buddies program! Standard adoption procedures apply. Learn more here.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
