“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force have announced an arrest has been made in an Armed Bank Robbery (Gun) offense that occurred on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, in the 1400 block of P Street, Northwest.
At approximately 11:20 am, the suspect entered the TD Bank at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect brandished a handgun and demanded US currency. The bank tellers complied. The suspect then fled the scene in a vehicle. A short time later, the suspect was apprehended
On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, 55 year-old Elton Wiggins, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Armed Bank Robbery (Gun).”
