“This morning at approximately 11:45 am, officers from the First District responded to the 1200 block of Wylie Street NE for the report of a ADW-Gun. Officers located the caller who reported that they observed an individual stealing items from their vehicle. The caller then approached the suspect, who retrieved a handgun and pointed it at the caller. The suspect then fled north onto 12th Street NE. No shots were fired, nor was anyone injured.
The suspect was described as an African American male, 20-25 years of age, 5’10” to 6′ wearing a dark colored shirt with light colored jeans and a jacket.
This incident is being actively investigated by detectives from the First District. Should anyone have information about the incident, please contact the First District detectives office at 202-299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at 202-727-9099.”
