“Love animals, and want to do something to support Australian wildlife? Join us at DC Brau (3178 Bladensburg Rd NE) on Saturday 25 January, noon- 5pm!
Crafting for Critters is a local group of volunteer crafters making donated products that help animal rescue efforts. Bird nests, joey pouches, bat wraps, and a variety of other items requested by various rehab groups are on the menu. Knitting, crocheting, and sewing patterns will be available.
Not crafty? Come help iron, cut, sort, and label finished products. Extra fabric and a cutting station are available. Please bring 100% natural fibers to work with, your needles, notions and sewing machines. Thanks to DC Brau, we have a large space to spread out and craft in.
Already have finished items ready to send to Australia? Drop them off with us on the 25th! DC Brau is also hosting a dropoff bin for finished products from our area crafters who have completed thier work after the event on the 25th.
DC Brau is family friendly, your younger crafters are welcome to join us as long as they have a 21+ adult accompanying them.
Beer and a food truck on site!
See you there!
Need patterns and more? Join the local Hub group on Facebook.”
