“Dear PoPville,

I own a unit in a 9-unit NW building that was built in 1908 as apartments and renovated in 1986 as condos. Currently, our only fire system is a manually pulled alarm in the hallway that emits noise. We’re looking to upgrade our building and units to current code with a fire suppressant system, and wondering if anyone has any advice or contractors they would recommend.

Our main questions are around supply (assessing the water main and/or need for tanks/pumps), building requirements, and individual unit requirements.”
