“Update 2nd Alarm 3101 New Mexico Ave NW. All fire extinguished. We are clearing smoke on fire floor and rotating units to relieve those who conducted initial attack. Still no reports of injuries.”
“#DCsBravest fire investigators have determined the New Mexico Ave fire was accidental, electrical in origin. A smoke alarm alerted the single resident of the fire apartment, allowing her to safely escape the flames uninjured. A working smoke alarm is essential.”
“There are currently 3 displaced residents from the New Mexico Ave NW fire. Representatives from @RedCrossNCR, @DCMOCRS and @DC_HSEMA are all on scene coordinating with building management to assist occupants.”
