CC writes about the above photo: “They had this damn street fixed and repaved after 11 months. And now tearing it up once again.”

And Doug writes about the shot below. “Groundhog day: Ripping up 14th Street again and again”:

“This is at least the third time in the past year that 14th street NW between W and Florida has been ripped up and new concrete poured after different, obviously uncoordinated, projects finished up (this time it’s related to installing new bike lanes and bus islands). Set aside the multiple days of jackhammering every time. The cost in people and materials is mildly staggering.”
