Unoccupied Car and two windows of a building struck by Gunfire near Nats Park and Audi Field

“On 9/9/19, at approximately 12:24 a.m., officers from the First District responded to the 1500 block of First Street SW for the sounds of gunshots. While searching the area, the officers found an unoccupied vehicle that had been struck several times. Additionally, two windows of a nearby building were also shattered. Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the gunfire. There were no usable descriptions of suspects on the scene.

First District Detectives are actively investigating this incident. Should anyone have any information or video from the area, please contact the First District Detectives office at (202)299-2025, or the Metropolitan Police Department’s Command Information Center at (202)727-9099.”
