MPD releases photo of a “suspect in connection with a Burglary One and Second Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Friday, August 30”

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a suspect in connection with a Burglary One and Second Degree Sexual Abuse offense that occurred on Friday, August 30, 2019, in the 1300 block 30th Street, Northwest.

At approximately 1:30 am, the suspect gained entry to a private residence. Once inside, the suspect sexually assaulted a female victim. The suspect then fled the scene.

The suspect has been identified as 34-year-old Bertrand Joseph Lebeau. He is described as a black male with bald or short hair, and a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt. He may be operating a black 2017 Honda CRV with DC tags FL5215.

He is currently wanted on a DC Superior Court arrest warrant for Second Degree Sexual Abuse. Lebeau and the vehicle can been seen in the photos above.

Anyone who has information regarding this case should call police at 202-727 9099. Additionally, information may be submitted to the TEXT TIP LINE by sending a text message to 50411.”
