Thanks to Daniel for sending:
“I was walking by the 655 New York Avenue retail center today and saw an alcoholic beverage posting for Rumi’s kitchen. Rumi’s website says it will be opening in Fall 2019.”
The liquor license placard says:
“A new Retailer’s Class C Restaurant with a seating capacity of 140 and Total Occupancy Load of 200. Licensee is requesting a Sidewalk Café with 16 seats.”
Rumi’s website says:
“The first Rumi’s Kitchen location outside of Georgia will open Fall 2019 at a new development on New York Ave. in the heart of D.C. The location will have a stylish bar and elegant dining room featuring an open kitchen like the current locations in Atlanta. The Johnson Studio out of Atlanta was chosen for the design.”
