“The Third District is currently investigating a shooting in the 3100 block of Mt Pleasant St NW. An adult male has been transported to an area hospital with a non life threatening gunshot wound to the leg. Officers and detectives are currently on the scene investigating.
Motorists and pedestrians can expect road closures in the area as we investigate.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“On Wednesday July 24, 2019, MPD units responded to an unconscious person in the 3500 block of Water St. NW. Upon the units arrival in the block, MPD units located an unconscious female. The female was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced. The investigation is still ongoing. MPD units are clearing the scene now and the 3500 block of Water St should be open shortly.

The decedent is an adult female, the circumstances of her death are still under investigation but as of this time there is no suspicion of foul play and no reason to believe there is any threat to the community.“
