From an email:
“Lyft is integrating Capital Bikeshare into its app, the second city in the nation to get that treatment after New York City, and the latest step as we march toward becoming a multi-modal urban transportation provider in the District and across the country.
It will be the first city where a rider can choose a scooter, a bike, or even public transit all in the Lyft app. (Details about WMATA, the DC Circulator, the Fairfax Connector, Prince George’s The Bus, and Alexandria DASH are all in the app too.)
Riders in DC can open their rideshare app and seamlessly make the decision to choose a bike (or scooter, or metro) instead.
They can easily compare modes while keeping traffic conditions, time, and sustainability in mind, making cities better to live in and increasing mobility.”
