“Dear PoPville,

I am having THE WORST time with my surrendered license plate. After surrendering, my husband dropped the actual plate at FT Totten Transfer station to be shredded like the DMV website said, this was in November and December 2018. In April 2019 I started getting tickets on my old plate, which I surrendered. It is up to 900 dollars in fines already.

Ft Totten Transfer station, the dmv, the police, Charles Allan councilman, the Attorney General, Investigator General, adjudication services, the news, will either not respond or help. So the adjudication services say I am responsible for the tickets, and there is no way to get the plates off the streets which means i would have to pay these for life. This is why there is a racket for the plates, nothing you can do. I can’t pay the tickets because it will show guilt. So this will cause bad credit, points, no driving privledges, and maybe jail time. Please help spread the word.”
