“On 5/16/2019, at approximately 12:35 AM, an officer from the Fifth District was flagged down by a complainant reporting that they had just been carjacked. After interviewing the complainant, the officers learned that the complainant was parked in the 300 block of S Street, NE, when he was approached by five suspects. One of the suspects produced what the complainant believed to be a handgun, and ordered the complainant out of the car. The complainant then exited the vehicle and began to run away.

Officers responded to the offense location and discovered the vehicle down the block, abandoned. The complainant was not injured. This case is currently under investigation by the Fifth District Detective’s Office.

Suspect 1 – Black male, 17-22 years of age, 5’7″, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect 2 – Black male, 17-22 years of age, 5’7″, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect 3 – Black male, 17-22 years of age.
Suspect 4 – Black male, 17-22 years of age.
Suspect 5 – Black male, 17-22 years of age.
