“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division have announced an arrest has been made in reference to multiple Theft offenses that occurred at the following locations:

First District:

Theft Two: On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, in the 800 block of 14th Street, Northwest, at approximately 8:00 am, the suspect took a bicycle from the listed location. CCN: 19-004-712
Theft Two/ Destruction of Property: On Friday, February 8, 2019, in the 700 block of 5th Street, Northwest, at approximately 7:00 am, the suspect cut a lock and took a bicycle then fled the scene. CCN: 19-027-272
Theft Two/ Destruction of Property (two counts): On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in the 400 block of L Street, Northwest, at approximately 12:45 pm, the suspect entered a garage at the listed location. Once inside, the suspect cut a fence to a storage area. The suspect then cut a lock and took a bicycle then fled the scene. CCN: 19-048-277

Theft Two: On Thursday, February 7, 2019, in the 1200 block of N Street, Northwest, between approximately 8:04 am and 9:24 am, the suspect took a bicycle then fled the scene. CCN: 19-022-001
Theft Two: On Monday, February 11, 2019, in the 1200 block of N Street, Northwest, at approximately 6:50 pm, the suspect took a bicycle then fled the scene. CCN: 19-024-824
Burglary Two: On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in the 1400 block of Church Street, Northwest, at approximately 8:00 pm, the suspect entered a storage area of an apartment building at the listed location. The suspect then cut the locks and took bicycles then fled the scene. CCN: 19-047-591

On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 53 year-old John Morgan, of No Fixed Address, was arrested for multiple bench warrants. Morgan was also charged with 19 counts of Theft Two, five counts of Theft One, nine counts of Destruction of Property, and one count of Burglary Two.
