“I’m definitely not a tinfoil hat person, but it seems odd that it always happens right in that area on the same part of my run, every time.”

“Dear PoPville,

I’ve noticed something strange using Bluetooth headphones on the Mall, and was wondering if you had heard of or experienced anything similar.

On the North side of the Mall, starting infront of the Natural History Museum and lasting to the National Gallery of Art, my Bluetooth headphones experience interference and my Spotify app skips. I use my Bluetooth headphones and the Spotify app regularly and for long periods of time, and only experience this strange interference effect on that stretch of the Mall.

So on Madison Dr between 12th and 4th Street, with the worst interference between 9th and 7th streets. I’m usually on the South side of Madison Dr, so on the Mall, not on the sidewalk directly in front of the museums.

I’m definitely not a tinfoil hat person, but it seems odd that it always happens right in that area on the same part of my run, every time. And I have seamless quality for the rest of my run!”
