Today’s Rental is a room “just steps from Nationals Park”

This rental is located at I Street and Half Street, SE. The Craigslist ad says:

“$1274 / 1159ft2 – Room and Private Bathroom in Luxury Navy Yard Apartment

Hello! My roommate is moving to Germany, so I’m looking for someone (female or male) to take a bedroom and a private bathroom in our spacious two bedroom/two bathroom apartment. It’s located in the luxury apartment building 70 Capitol Yards in Navy Yard–just steps from Nationals Park. The room is available from May 1st to December 20th with the option to renew the lease. The room is not furnished, but the rest of the apartment is furnished. Rent is $1,274 per month plus utilities.

The apartment includes a washer and dryer, dishwasher, open kitchen with new marble countertops, and plenty of closet and storage space.

Building amenities include a rooftop pool, fitness center, 24-hour concierge, movie theater with stadium seating, conference center, and more. On-site parking is available.

The apartment is a short walk from the green line metro and the orange/blue/silver lines. There is a Whole Foods around the corner and a Harris Teeter nearby. There’s also a CVS, Starbucks, a winery, brewery, Yards Park, several bars/restaurants, and it’s in walking distance to Barracks row and the Capitol.

I am a female young professional working in journal publishing. I’m clean and easy going and would prefer to live with another female young professional. I enjoy trying new restaurants and going to concerts.

If you’re interested, please tell me a little about yourself and let me know when you’re free to see the apartment!”

Potomac Harmony is Back! Following a gap year of competing, then virtual rehearsals during the pandemic, followed by the well-earned retirement of our long-term director, a year of a director search, Potomac Harmony hit the regional contest stage in Concord, North Carolina in March for the first time since 2018! It was exhilarating, reaffirming, and rewarding!

The chorus hit all of its goals, the biggest of which was to have fun and sing our best on contest stage — we did both! Because we earned a score over 400 points, our new Director, Allison Lynskey, was awarded the Novice Director award, photo above. Additionally, one of our charter members, Jackie Bottash, was nominated for and honored with the Leadership Excellence award. It was a celebratory weekend!

What’s next? So much! We now look forward to upcoming performances, growing our membership, and expanding our musical product with new arrangements and an education component each week. It’s an exciting time to be part of this ever-growing ensemble!
