“HRA offers $5k reward for info about a shocking animal cruelty case”

From the Humane Rescue Alliance:

“The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those involved in a tragic case of alleged animal cruelty.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, a man brought a female dog to HRA’s New York Avenue location with severe head wounds apparently inflicted by an ax or a similar sharp instrument. The dog’s injuries were so severe that humane euthanasia was unavoidable. The dog, who appears to be an adult Bullmastiff (two years or older) and is estimated to be 80-100 pounds, was found in SE near the Southern Ave. Metro station.

“The unimaginable pain and suffering this dog endured must have been extreme,” said Chris Schindler, Vice President of Field Services at HRA. “We hope this reward will motivate anyone with information about the dog or this crime to come forward so that HRA can bring her abuser to justice.”

HRA is looking for anyone who may have noticed anything unusual on the morning of Feb. 28 near the Southern Ave. Metro station or anyone who recognizes the dog and is seeking information regarding the source of the dog’s injuries or the address where she may have resided. If you have information, please call 202-723-5730, option 1.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
