Located on New York Avenue at the gateway of the high-end, mixed-use CityCenterDC and developed by international real estate firm Hines and investor Qatari Diar, Conrad Washington, DC brings a new sense of modern hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with its technologically innovative and personalized experiences for guests.

The 360-room, 10-floor hotel skillfully designed by Pritzker Prize Laureates Herzog & de Meuron features 30,000 square feet of luxury retail space on its ground floor and 32,000 square feet of purpose-built meeting space, all above ground level and unlike any other hotel in Washington D.C. Interiors Architect Rottet Studio designed the interiors as a restrained, minimalist expression of purity of thought and design to complement the carefully-conceived building. The property’s signature restaurant, Estuary, by James Beard Award recipients and “Top Chef” finalists, Bryan and Michael Voltaggio, complements the hotel’s upscale offerings, featuring an elevated farm-to-table dining experience serving seafood from the Chesapeake Bay. In line with the Voltaggios’ pride for their Maryland roots, the menu features locally-inspired favorites including, Atlantic Cod, ‘Maryland Crab Pretending to be Shrimp Toast,’ Fried Calamari and Crab Rangoon, among others.

“We are thrilled to welcome the new flagship property for the Conrad brand and Hilton’s first luxury development in Washington, DC, offering smart luxury to the globally connected traveler” said Martin Rinck, executive vice president and global head, Luxury & Lifestyle Group, Hilton. “The ever-evolving market within the nation’s capital provides the perfect opportunity to bring Conrad’s inspiring design, intuitive service and culinary excellence to business and leisure travelers alike.”

Conrad Washington, DC’s serene Sakura Club on the tenth floor provides access to an elevated hospitality experience with offerings including a sophisticated made-to-order menu throughout the day, an exquisite Japanese whisky collection and a traditional afternoon tea. A first for the Conrad brand, this exclusive, full-service club level is designed for the most-discerning hotel guests with offerings curated from premiere local and global vendors to create a personalized lodging experience unlike any other in the city.

“The opening of Conrad Washington, DC proves to be a groundbreaking moment for our city as a whole,” said Laura Schofield, General Manager, Conrad Washington, DC. “Home to incredible restaurants and designer boutiques, CityCenterDC is the perfect location for our magnificent hotel; and we are delighted to be the icing on the cake and complete the second phase of this landmark development.”

The design-forward hotel tapped world-renowned talent, including internationally-acclaimed architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, production architect and hotel consultant HKS Inc., exacting interiors architect Rottet Studio, and landscape architecture firm Gustafson Guthrie Nichol, among others. Curated by consulting firm Tatar Art Projects, the hotel’s contemporary art collection pays homage to the city’s historical roots tying back to the Washington Color School.

“What a joy it is to celebrate the grand opening of Conrad Washington, DC as the final punctuation on this outstanding project,” said Howard Riker, Hines managing director.” CityCenterDC continues to transform the luxury market, and we are excited to be recognized as a go-to destination in the city for our business and leisure visitors and residents.”

As part of Hilton’s commitment to double its social impact investment and cut its environmental footprint in half by 2030, Conrad Washington D.C. will partner with DC Central Kitchen on a culinary internship and training program for youth. The hotel will also embed sustainability into its operations, integrating Hilton’s food waste training program into the kitchen culture and partner with Clean the World to recycle soap from guestrooms which will be remanufactured into new soap and distributed to communities in need around the world. All of these programs are part of Travel with Purpose, Hilton’s corporate responsibility strategy to redefine and advance sustainable travel globally.”

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
