“National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisory to go into effect at 10 PM tonight until 10 AM Friday, March 1, 2019. Precipitation will in the form of snow and sleet. A total snow and sleet accumulation is expected to be 1 to 3 inches in the District.

Precautionary / Preparedness Actions:

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute. Temperatures will fall below freezing during the evening, causing any moisture or slush to freeze on untreated surfaces.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
