Duke Ellington Bridge
Connecticut and Calvert Street NW
Around the country, people gather and scream. They call this “catharsis”.
Research shows a complicated connection between the part of the brain that processes language (prefrontal cortex and other areas) and the part of the brain that processes emotions (amygdala), and it’s completely possible that catharsis actually makes aggression worse.
Anyway. I still have things to yell about.
We’ll meet at the Calvert Ave Bridge (between Connecticut Ave NW and 18/ Columbia Street NW) 9:20, scream over the bridge at 9:30, and then be on our way. People can go have brunch or something. I’ll probably go for a run.”
