“National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisory to go into effect at 3 PM tomorrow Tuesday, January 29th until 12 AM Wednesday, January 30th. Any rain will change to snow during the late afternoon and early evening hours. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches expected in the District.
Precautionary / Preparedness Actions:
Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute. Temperatures will fall below freezing during the evening, causing any moisture or slush to freeze on untreated surfaces.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow and sleet will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.”
