“Does anyone have experience in handling safety concerns in “luxury” apartment buildings re: sketchy neighbors?”

“Dear PoPville,

Does anyone have experience in handling safety concerns in “luxury” apartment buildings re: sketchy neighbors? I’ve now had to call the police twice at 2 am on what sounds like some kind of a drug deal/increasingly bold robbery attempts on my floor (breaking into the key locked hall, testing door handles and trying to break in to a couple of units, than going to the unit of the tenant they know and slamming on the door and screaming at the top of their lungs that

“they want their shit” and “get ready to be handled on the street” for at least 15 minutes straight), plus three weeks ago a resident of the building colluded with some buddies to rob the package room/front desk.

I’m hoping there might be an option before breaking the lease/moving? I really love the building and the people who work there, and have nothing but positive things to say about it except that I’m now very very worried about my safety based on the lack of security.

Thanks! Really appreciate any tips.”
