Do readers have any recommendations for jewelry repair stores? This question was last asked in 2011 but I’m sure a lot of those places have, sadly, closed since then.
I recently (as in two years ago, ha) inherited some jewelry from my grandmother and I’d to get it cleaned/inspected before wearing it. Other things I am considering doing are getting the pieces appraised, pearls restrung, stones re-set, etc so this is potentially a big job and I’d like to use someone reputable.
I’ve never owned even remotely valuable jewelry so I have no clue where to start. Any other things I should be aware of?”
