From a press release:

Miracle on 7th Street (1843 7th Street NW) returns for a fourth year of over-the-top holiday cheer on Black Friday, November 23. Or, as Drink Company call its, Black & White Friday, since the new pop-up bar highlights D.C.’s most iconic residents: pandas!

Expect panda-monium at this year’s Miracle on 7th, which features a panda mural, panda mugs and more adorable panda moments. This year, guests can ring the jingle-bell canopy, step inside a giant New Year’s Eve ball and share a kiss in the mistletoe photo booth.

Special Projects team Matt Fox and Adriana Salame-Aspiazu have dreamed up a selection of winter wonderland vignettes that cover everything from jingle bells to jelly doughnuts. From life-sized statues of pandas playing in the snow, to a graffiti-inspired Hanukkah mural by frequent collaborator and local artist Andrew Funk to a hanging iridescent installation designed by local artist Nole Garey from Oh So Beautiful Paper, Miracle 2018 will bring its signature dash of holiday cheer to the District.

“Pandas and Christmas both warm my heart, and putting them together in a bundle of holiday joy was irresistible,” says Special Projects Manager Salame-Aspiazu. “We’ve hung thousands of ornaments, thousands of yards of ribbon and thousands of jingle bells to ring in the holiday, but the geodesic dome we’ve built to feel like the inside of a New Year’s Eve ball is, perhaps, my favorite.”

And, of course, Miracle on 7th Street wouldn’t be complete without its annual menu of innovative, original craft cocktails, including perennial fan favorite “Snow Angels, Ice Skating, Cookie Dough & Snuggles,” along with 11 additional drinks and two shots.

“We’ve been laser-focused on the details of this menu, from making our own cassis out of Manischewitz to finding the perfect panda mug for serving our ‘Santa Bei Bei’ cocktail,” adds Director of Bar Concepts Paul Taylor.  “I also love the Christmas movie debates as much as I love the holiday flavors. For instance, our Die Hard-inspired ‘Welcome to the Party, Pal’ helps spur the debate as to whether it’s actually a Christmas movie at all. (Of course, it is.)”

And then on Monday, December 31, Miracle will be open for regular service from 5pm to 8:30 pm before the party truly gets started at 9:30pm as Taittinger Champagne hosts New Year’s Eve. The ticketed party ($20) will include a free glass of Champagne, special New Year’s punches, festive party favors and a countdown inside the Miracle New Year’s Eve Ball. (Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite or at the door, depending on availability.)”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
