“Did I do the Right thing?”

“Dear PoPville,

After doing my annual closet clean, I had a few bags of clothes to drop off at the The Clothing Recycle Center located at the corner of 18th and California Street NW near the Marie Reed Center. As I was unloading my car to take the bags to the donation box, a very aggressive woman approached me wanting me to give the bags of clothes to her.

Something about it immediately made me tell her “No” and “if you needed clothes you need to contact the donation center.” She seemed to get upset with me and went to sit down on a bench. The more I thought about it, the more I thought I did the right thing. There was something about her that gave me the feeling that she was going to do something besides use the clothes for what they were intended. Maybe she was going to get some clothes out and sell them?? I don’t know, but something just didn’t feel right.

A few hours later I passed the recycle center again and she was still there looking at the recycle bin. I became even more confident that I had made the right decision earlier by not giving the bags of clothes to her.

I would be interested in hearing if others have encounters her?”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
