“Dear PoPville,
An acquaintance of mine was in D.C. from out of town this past weekend and suffered a car break-in on Saturday night (11/17) between 8 and 11:30 p.m. She was parked below I-695 near the corner of 8th and I (Eye) Streets SE.
She is missing a distinctive-looking messenger bag similar to the one in the photo — it’s a reddish color with a Day of the Dead/Día de los Muertos-style skull — and some Mead spiral notebooks that were inside. The notebooks are important to her because they contain a bunch of her creative writing.
Both spiral notebooks have geometric designs — one in purple, the other possibly in green or black.
Most of the content is creative writing, but there are also to-do lists, lists of jobs to apply for, etc. Most of the writing is in blue ink.

The messenger bag also contained a book — “Writing Poetry,” by Shelley Tucker — but that’s more easily replaceable than the notebooks or the bag. The book’s cover has a bright geometric design (see photo).
If anyone has seen the bag or notebooks, please contact saintangelsin AT gmail DOT com.”
