“One thing that helped demystify the whole process for me was checking out other people’s systems during a Solar Open House Tour”

From an email:

“I’ve had rooftop solar for more than 6 years. One thing that helped demystify the whole process for me was checking out other people’s systems during a Solar Open House Tour. So this year I figured I’d host one and I put my house on the list for the National Solar Tour:

When: Sunday, October 7, 10 am – 6 pm.

Where: 3564 11th Street NW  WDC  20010

If you can stop by please RSVP at the link below.

Solar Open House

Sunday, October 07, 2018
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
3564 11th St NW
Washington, DC 20010

See solar panels up close, ask questions about how solar works, learn about why homeowners in your community have made the choice to go solar, and connect with other people in your community who support solar energy. This event is free and open to the public – everyone is welcome to attend. Whether you are a solar owner, completely new to solar, or somewhere in between – this event is for you. Stop by for a few or stay for a while!

More info from the solar homeowner: Typical rowhouse; also have a couple trees installed by Casey trees and native plants and rain barrel from RiverSmart homes project.

This solar open house is part of the 2018 National Solar Tour, a collective effort of solar open houses and local solar tours across the country.”
