8 Teens Try to Mug Woman Walking near Capitol Building/Supreme Court at 8:15pm Last Night

“First District Detectives are currently investigating an Assault w/ Intent To Rob which occurred Monday evening in the 100 Block 3rd Street NE at approximately 8:15PM

A female complainant reports while walking at the location, she was approached by a group of 8 male teenagers. Several of the subjects attempted to grab her purse and a second bag she was carrying. The subjects also attempted to grab her cellular phone. When the complainant began yelling for help, the subjects fled northbound on 3rd Street.

No property was obtained by the suspects. The complaint was not injured during the incident.

Subject look-out is for 8 Black male teenagers, dark clothing. One subject was wearing a gray sweatshirt.
