From DDOT:

“Today, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the locations of 28 parks that will be installed in celebration of PARK(ing) Day, September 21, 2018 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The temporary installations will be located in five of the District’s eight wards.

“This year PARK(ing) Day coincides with Car Free Day which is a perfect time to celebrate all of the creative alternatives for curbside space,” said DDOT Director Jeff Marootian.

Since 2013, DDOT has administered PARK(ing) Day to highlight the District’s sustainability efforts and kick off car-free day activities in the region. Last year, DDOT granted permits for 26 parks in six of the eight wards in the District.

A complete list of PARK(ing) Day participants and a map of the parks is available here.”
