“Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling while Armed

Fifth District detectives are currently investigating the burglary of an occupied residence that occurred in the 1600 block of Kramer Street, NE at approximately 4:30 am on the morning of September 20th. The victims report the suspect entered the home and demanded money. When the suspect was advised there was no cash in the residence, he fired a single shot at the homeowners.

The suspect then fled the scene with several personal items of value. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20-25 years of age, 6’0″ to 6’1″ in height, with a dark complexion and a slight mustache. The suspect was last seen wearing a tan shirt, a red and yellow jacket, black shorts, and gray and orange New Balance shoes with a t-shirt on his head. Anyone with information related to this crime is encouraged to call MPD at 202-727-9099, or text information to 50411.”
