“Assault with a Dangerous Weapon/Hate-Bias Crime 3100 Block of Mount Pleasant St. N.W.

On Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at approximately 10:10 pm, an individual reported that he was approached by a suspect who said that he does not like illegal immigrants and then pulled a knife and attempted to cut the victim. The suspect is described as a White Male, 5’4″, 160 lbs., with straight, black hair and it is reported that he fled on foot north bound in the 3100 block of Mount Pleasant St N.W. The victim was not injured in this incident.

The Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating this incident. Anyone with information related to this or any other crime is asked to call (202) 727-9099.”
