From the Facebook event page:

“Jeffery Hammond Long was killed Saturday by a driver making a right turn across the bike lane on the 2100 block of M Street NW on Saturday. He was the second cyclist. after Malik Habib, in so many weeks to be killed by a driver in DC. Please join us for a ride in his memory.

Please wear white (like a ghost bike).

Meet: In front of Peet’s Coffee at 1156 15th St NW
Wheels up: 5:30

Route: Take M St West. Stop at the intersection of M & NH for a moment of silence.

FAQs:

Q: I don’t have a bike, but I still want to ride.
A: Show up a little early. Thankfully, DC has plenty of bike options for those who don’t own/bring their own – in addition to Capital Bikeshare, we have JUMP, Lime, Mobike, Spin & Ofo dockless bikes. Somebody will happily help you get on a saddle.

Q: Riding a bike isn’t my thing, but this is an important issue and I want to take part.
A: DC also has dockless scooters! Seriously, meet us at the crash site at M & 21st, or walk with us on the sidewalk along the route (we won’t be going very fast).”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
