Like the Affordable Care Act? Like Lightsabers? Have I Got an Event For You!

From a press release:

“On Friday, May 4th,  Health Care Voter is marking Star Wars Day and the one year anniversary of the date the Republican Health Care Repeal Bill passed the House with a Lightsaber Rally to Defend Health Care  in Dupont Circle. The event will occur in coordination with activists across the country who will use #StarWarsDay and #HealthCareVoter to defend the ACA.

One year ago, on May 4th 2017, the GOP forced the Republican Health Care Bill through the House of Representatives. If signed into law, the bill would have repealed and replaced major sections of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Thanks to the rise of health care voices from across the country, the bill ultimately failed in the Senate — but GOP attacks on our care have not died down.

At the event, members of Health Care Voter will gather to mobilize voters and defend Americans’ access to quality, affordable health care from the GOP Empire. Health Care Lightsabers in hand, Health Care Voters are sending a message to Congress: our health care matters, and we will not stop protecting it.

WHAT: Lightsaber Rally to Defend Health Care
WHO: Health Care Voter
WHERE: Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C.
WHEN: May 4th 2018, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Go to HealthCareVoter.org and take the pledge to defend our health care. If you take the pledge and tweet about it, WE’LL GIVE YOU A FREE LIGHTSABER AT THE RALLY–all you have to do is show us your tweet in person!””
