“Toki Underground will soon launch a new menu available exclusively at the Pug”

1234 H Street, NE

From an email:

“Toki Underground, DC’s first ramen house, located on H Street, NE, will soon launch a new menu available exclusively at the Pug, the popular DC bar housed on the ground floor of the building that Toki calls home. Many Toki patrons enjoy a drink at the Pug while waiting for a seat at the popular, yet small, ramen house and this new food menu offers a selection of small bar bites inspired by the flavors of Toki’s full menu. The menu, highlighted below, was designed for those enjoying a drink at the Pug or for Toki guests who want a few bites while waiting for a seat upstairs. There are a variety of snacks, many of which are vegetarian or can be made vegetarian, like the Fried Chicken or Cauliflower Steam Buns. Also on a the menu is Uncle Tony’s Lumpia, an eggroll popular in the Philippines. The lumpia is a special nod to Tony Tomeldon, owner of the Pug, who is of Filipino descent.

The menu, found below, launches at the Pug next week Wednesday, March 14.

Pickles Plate ($4):selection of pickles from No. 1 Sons

Watermelon Radish Crudo ($4): furikake, lemon

Toki Mixed Nutz ($5): togarashi and salt roasted nuts

Uncle Tony’s Lumpia ($7):fried pork/veg Filipino egg roll, xie xie sauce

Fried Chicken or Cauliflower Steam Buns ($7) Japanese mayo, sweet chilli sauce, seasonal pickles, cilantro, Thai basil

Chocolate Chip Cookies ($7) sweet red miso butter, cinnamon cream”
