Amazon Books Opens First D.C. Brick and Mortar Location Today at 9am

3040 Wisconsin Ave, NW

From a press release:

“On Tuesday, March 13, Amazon Books will open in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC.

Amazon Books is all about discovery. We’ve applied over twenty years of experience as a customer-focused, online retailer to build a store that integrates the benefits of offline and online shopping and spurs discovery of great books, Amazon devices and customer favorites from Amazon.com.

Our stores are highly-curated:

because we are limited by physical space, we only carry books, devices, toys and games that our customers love. All of the products in our stores are selected by our team of curators and are either rated 4 stars and above, bestsellers in our stores or on Amazon.com, or new releases. Our curators consider books based on Amazon.com customer ratings, pre-orders, sales, and popularity on Goodreads; they look at Kindle reading behavior; and, of course, they apply their expert assessments.

To give you more information as you browse, we created features that showcase what customers are reading, how they’re reading and what they’re loving. One of our signature features is Page Turners, which highlights books (both fiction and nonfiction) that Kindle customers are reading in 3 days or less. All the books in our store are presented face out, so they can communicate their own essence. Under each face-out book is a review card with the Amazon.com customer rating and review – it’s like getting a personal recommendation from a fellow booklover.

Our device section gives customers the opportunity to test drive Amazon devices and accessories – including Echo and Smart Home accessories – while having Amazon Books associates on hand to answer questions.

In addition, Amazon Books in Georgetown will proudly serve Allegro coffee.

Store Hours & Café Hours:

Monday – Saturday: 9:00am – 9:00pm
Sunday: 10:00pm – 6:00pm”

Unlike our competitors, Well-Paid Maids doesn’t clean your home with harsh chemicals. Instead, we handpick cleaning products rated “safest” by the Environmental Working Group, the leading rating organization regarding product safety.

The reason is threefold.

First, using safe cleaning products ensures toxic chemicals won’t leak into waterways or harm wildlife if disposed of improperly.
