Looking for Witnesses 5:45pm Tuesday 14th and W St, NW “They let their dog off of its leash and it charged my husband and our dog”

via google maps

“Dear PoPville,

Last evening my husband was walking our dog at 5:45pm right past the gas station at 14th & W Streets NW. Two women with short hair were walking a large black dog with some brindle coloring. They let their dog off of its leash and it charged my husband and our dog (a corgi). It immediately went for our dog’s throat and while my husband was able to tackle it off of our dog he broke his finger and sustained a bite. He’s on his way to the ER and the finger injury will obviously impact his work. He was in such a panic over whether or not our dog was hurt (she is relatively okay) and in pain himself that he didn’t get their information before they fled. He says there were lots of witnesses because of the time of day and nice weather. If anyone has a picture or video, we would love to obtain it so this doesn’t happen to others. Thanks.”

Ed. Note: If there are any witnesses please email [email protected] and I’ll put you in touch with OP.

Thanks to EH for sending this great two-fer “A VW bug parked about 20 feet in front of a VW van.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
