“We were watching a couple of blue jays in our backyard this morning and caught sight of a hawk in the back alley. Over the next five minutes, he was on the hunt for a black squirrel. Unclear if he ended up making his prey. After the two attempts caught on video, he was perched high up on a telephone pole above our neighbors’ yards… we lost him soon after.
We’re in Brightwood Park, near 5th & Kennedy.”
If you spot a hawk or any other bird of prey or any interesting wildlife around town, lunching or otherwise, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted it to [email protected] and I’ll add it to the queue.
