“Last night at approximately 1130pm, the First District received a call for a shooting in the alley behind the 1000 block of 3rd St SW. An adult male was shot one time in the face by unknown suspect(s). The suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction, and the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment where he is expected to survive.
At this time we do not have any lookout for any suspect(s). If anyone has any information about this case, please contact the First District Detectives Office at 202-299-2025 or the Command Information Center at 202-727-9099. You may remain anonymous if you wish, but information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a crime of violence in the District of Columbia may make you eligible for a reward. Please reference case number 18014809.”
