“Captain Cookie is the first of eight new stores opening in the Tastemakers gourmet food hall by early 2018!”

10th and Franklin St, NE

From a press release:

“Captain Cookie and the Milk Man, DC’s beloved cookie shop, is unveiling its second brick and mortar location. Captain Cookie – Brookland is now open in the Tastemakers building at 2800 10th St NE in DC! The cookie crew invites the public and the press to join its grand opening celebration on Wednesday, December 20th!

This cookie counter is one of eight stores to be featured in Tastemakers, a new communal kitchen and gourmet food hall with its own bar and a show kitchen for cooking classes. Construction is underway on the remaining stores, which will open on a rolling basis throughout early 2018.

While construction continues for the rest of the food hall, Captain Cookie will represent this new neighborhood spot with their famous cookies, made-to-order ice cream sandwiches and local milk and ice cream. The shop will feature DC’s first edible cookie dough bar, debuting ready-to-eat cookie dough* with flavors including chocolate chip, salted caramel, birthday cake, monster cookie, gingerbread spice and double chocolate buzz.

The grand opening celebration will kick off with an official ribbon cutting at 11:00am and offer special treats for customers throughout the day, including a free cookie with any purchase for the first 100 guests, a cookies-and-milk happy hour from 1-5:00PM including edible dough samples, and a raffle to win a Captain Cookie gift certificate worth $50 for all guests from 5-10pm.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
