Here’s a great update on the “gourmet food hall with 8-10 independent food vendors, a bar, and a grocery market” coming to Egewood/Brookland. WDCEP posts an interview with the owner:
“Captain Cookie is about to launch a second location and incubator space to help local food businesses scale. Named “Tastemakers” the 9,000 sq ft incubator space will open in Ward 5’s Brookland neighborhood in early September. There will be industrial kitchen space for local food companies, a small grocery store, and another Captain Cookie storefront. The store will feature 6-8 food vendors and have a bar.”
