Whoa – thanks to Cait for sending this link to The Line Hotel‘s Eat & Drink at The LINE section:

“The LINE DC delivers a rich, multilayered, local experience like no other in Washington, DC. Take your pick of international or American fare available through distinct restaurant experiences from two James Beard-recognized chefs. Grab a locally-distilled beverage from A Rake’s Bar, discover the finest Taiwanese teas in East Parlour Tea, or have a drink over a live broadcast of Full Service Radio in the lobby.

A Rake’s Progress

At A Rake’s Progress, James Beard Award-winning chef Spike Gjerde cooks what he sources from Mid-Atlantic farms and waters. For the last decade at his Baltimore restaurant Woodberry Kitchen, Spike has been a learner and a teacher of the terroir of the region — only using ingredients found within his food system. Now in D.C., he cooks from an expanded landscape with a flavor all its own.

A Rake’s Bar

A Rake’s Bar is a north-meets-south lounge celebrating local distillers, ingredients and history from Corey Polyoka, the creator of Woodberry Kitchen’s acclaimed beverage program. The drink menu at A Rake’s Bar balances preservation and progress with Corey’s cocktail recipes as well as beverage services tailored to the historical context of individual spirits. Maryland ciders and farm beers, brewed by regional farmers and made from their ingredients star on tap.

Brothers And Sisters

James Beard nominated Chef Erik Bruner-Yang takes the helm of the LINE DC’s lobby restaurant and bar, Brothers And Sisters. A menu of American and Asian dishes in the spirit of great hotel lobbies of Asia, but from Erik’s unique DC vantage point are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brothers And Sisters offers cocktails inspired by the world’s great hotel bars as interpreted for the modern world traveler.

At tea time, the East Parlour of Brothers And Sisters offers a unique East West Afternoon Tea complete with menu sets of assorted dim sum, traditional tea sandwiches, pastries and savories, as well as a raw bar.

Brothers And Sisters Bar

The two bars located in the east and west wings of the lobby feature classic American cocktails, cocktails inspired by hotel bars around the world and Ametora influenced cocktails. The unique cocktail and wine program is led by Todd Thrasher, a DC bartender, distiller and sommelier who has received consistent recognition from the James Beard Foundation as one of the country’s “Outstanding Wine & Spirits Professionals.”
