Former Executive Chef for the Finnish Ambassador, Chef Mikko, bringing “Nordic Fine Food” to Dupont

Chef Mikko’s website says:

“Chef Mikko is the former Executive Chef for the Finnish Ambassador to the United States- a position he held for over 15 years. Prior to that he was the Chef to the Finnish Ambassador in Lithuania. Mikko also worked at the Havis Amanda restaurant in Helsinki, which enjoys a reputation as one of the finest fish and seafood restaurants in all of Finland. He fine tuned his skills at the Belvedere hotel in Annecy, France- also renowned for its excellent cuisine, in particular fish and seafood. Mikko also trained at the prestigious Helsinki Culinary School.

Chef Mikko has won numerous national and international awards for his creative cooking. He has been recognized for excellent traditional Nordic food creations and for his amazing baking skills including breads, crackers, pastries and cakes. Mikko has also been widely celebrated for his knowledge of foods and gifted ability to choreograph gatherings, large and small that bring people together to celebrate both momentous and everyday occasions.”
