From a press release:

“The final nights of any Drink Company Pop-Up Bar (PUB) have historically been the most fun, and seeing that Halloween is the last night of PUB Dread, this one should be no exception. This time around, Drink Company is offering timed entry passes for Halloween to benefit disaster relief efforts in Puerto Rico.

Starting today, guests can guarantee their entry into PUB Dread and snag a pass well in advance. At $20 a ticket, 100% of ticket sales will be donated to World Central Kitchen, a chef-driven non-profit launched by Jose Andrés in the wake of Haiti’s Earthquakes in 2010. Andrés and World Central Kitchen have fed over 130,000 people in Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria, and are on track to be able to serve 100,000 people a day with enough support.

Drink Company CEO Angie Fetherston was compelled to raise funds for disaster relief. “This tragedy in Puerto Rico has affected personal friends, members of our staff, and their families,” she says. “We want to support our brother Chef José Andrés in feeding as many people as he can with World Central Kitchen and the amazing corps of volunteers he’s been able to put together to provide meals for first responders and those whose lives have been upheaved by Hurricane María. Every single dollar of ticket sales will go towards the cause.”

In addition to PUB Dread’s extensive horror-inspired cocktail list, Piña Coladas (the official cocktail of Puerto Rico) will be available during this Halloween event.

WHEN: October 31st

5:00 p.m. to 1:30am

DETAILS: Tickets are $20 each and can be found at pubdreadpr.eventbrite.com. Tickets will only be available online. Guests are welcome to make additional donations once inside. This event is 21+.”

Finding a gift for moms can be difficult. Google “Mother’s Day gifts,” and you’ll scroll through endless lists of beauty products, candles and fuzzy robes. Sure, those are sweet, but sometimes it’s fun to surprise loved ones with something a little more, well, practical!

Here’s one idea: Give her a gift certificate for a home cleaning from Well-Paid Maids. It’s the perfect “thank you,” “I love you” or “you’ve got this” for any mom. She can schedule the home cleaning at her convenience and breathe easy knowing she has one less thing to do.

Our cleaners will take care of everything, including vacuuming and mopping as well as cleaning and dusting countertops, tables, mirrors, appliances and more. Sinks, toilets, showers and appliance exteriors also get a good scrub.
