After less than a year that “fully-automated faster food experience” fails in D.C.

Thanks to John for passing on from Eatsa:

“It’s with a heavy heart that we share with you that our D.C. locations are now closed. This was a difficult decision and not one that was taken lightly.

In our eagerness to get our experience in front of as many people as possible, we now realize that we expanded too quickly. We hope that with fewer locations, we can experiment and innovate faster, and come back to D.C. in the future.

We know that many of you count on us for a healthy, fast, delicious meal every day, and we’re sorry if you came to one of our locations only to find it closed!

On a more positive note, you might see our technology and the experience you love in other restaurants in the near future… and, our two San Francisco locations will remain open. So if you are in the area, please come by and see us!

We hope this isn’t goodbye, but see you again soon… either in an eatsa location, or in another restaurant where our technology is making your dining experience faster and more affordable.
