“First Trader Joe’s Capitol Hill to Welcome Customers With Warm, Lively Grand Opening
Weekend-long event to include live music, giveaways, tastings and ceremonial lei cutting
The first Trader Joe’s in the Capitol Hill neighborhood will open its doors next Friday. The new location will be the third Trader Joe’s store in the Washington, DC area and the first outside of Northwest DC. The new, nearly 13,000 square foot store will feature underground parking and murals that pay tribute to nearby landmarks including the Capitol Building, Barracks Row and Eastern Market. Store Captain Tom Senior, an 11year veteran of the company, and recently hired Crew Members invite customers and the media to attend the Grand Opening ceremony to tour the new location and help celebrate the much-anticipated event.
